The Story

Versado explores the depth and freshness of Mendoza Malbec through old vineyards and attentive farming. The project connects Argentine vineyard character with the winemaking experience of Ann Sperling and Peter Gamble.

The Producer

Versado is the Mendoza project of Ann Sperling and Peter Gamble. Its wines focus on the character of the vineyard, with attention to how soil, vine age and cooling air shape Malbec.

Place & Terroir

The producer describes its vineyard above the ancient Mendoza River bed, with a fine layer of silty, sandy, limestone-rich loam over a deeply stony subsoil. Air moving down from the Andes helps create cooler conditions and a wide day-to-night temperature range.

Perfect Pairings

Grilled beef, braised lamb, wild mushroom pasta or aged cheeses.

Serve around 16–18°C; decant if the wine seems closed.
