The Château Pontet-Fumet is located near the village of Vignonet in the well-known wine-growing region of Saint-Émillion.It is one of the outstanding Grand Crus in Saint-Émillion, where the soils of the vineyards are characterized by sandy gravel soils.
Appearance: A deep ruby red wine with violet reflections.
Aroma: A frank nose with aromas of gooseberry and lovely redcurrant, complemented by notes of undergrowth, dark chocolate, coffee, grilled hazelnuts and earthy aromas.
Palate: An ample mouth, full-bodied and balanced with fine, delicate tannins. The finish is dominated by spices, vanilla and chocolate. Silky and precise.
